We believe that personal growth is an integral part of the life of every disciple. We also believe that it is too important to be left to chance. The Discipleship Institute is being designed to meet that need. Taught by the pastor and others, these events are in a workshop format and occur several times during the year. The nursery and activities for the kids are available to make it easy for families to participate.

Membership Equals Involvement

As you are about to discover, membership at this church is more than simply getting your name on a list. At The Cordova Presbyterian Church, membership is synonymous with involvement.

We offer opportunities for you to connect in relationships and to share responsibilities in ministry teams designed to serve one another.

You were designed to be a part of a church family. And that's exactly what The Cordova Church is intended to be - your faith family. A healthy family has common beliefs, purposes and commitment.

That's why at the Cordova Church we want to share with you what we believe and where we're going.

God wants all of us to grow in fellowship, discipleship, ministry, evangelism and worship. It's by balancing those five purposes that we truly live out God's plan for our life. More than anything else, the Cordova family wants to come beside you and watch you grow in all five of these areas.

Discovery 101 Class is designed for those wanting to learn more about the church and explore the meaning of church membership. This 2-1/2 hour class is our basic introduction to our church family and is designed to clearly explain who and what our church is. The class explains the four things that connect us: Our Faith, Our Purpose, Our Values, and Our Ministry.

At the end of the class there will be an opportunity for you to decide whether or not to complete the process by completing a membership application card. If you elect to wait and decide at another time, that's perfectly okay. There is no pressure whatsoever. We want you to be comfortable with whatever decision you make. And, if you decide The Cordova Presbyterian Church is not where God is leading you, we'll be happy to help you find another church.

FIRST SERVE

There are lots of opportunities to serve at The Cordova Presbyterian Church - everything from brewing up coffee, to greeting in the parking lot, to lending a hand with neighborhood cleanup after a storm, to helping out in Children's Ministry.
